Pseudo Obstruction Research Trust – Donate By Text
Christmas is a time for sharing and giving and being with family and friends. Christmas day arrives and the celebrations begin. Please spare a thought for those who will not be able to sit and enjoy a Christmas dinner with their family – especially if they are children.
A young and small charity, PORT (Pseudo Obstruction Research Trust), are raising awareness of pseudo-obstruction and vital funds for research and equipment for this debilitating condition. Many adults and young children alike will watch as their families enjoy their Christmas dinner whilst they are unable to eat.
This charity have managed to fund research into pseudo-obstruction in adults and children, pay for a clinical nurse specialist to look after these special children and provide the essential equipment to the Paediatric GI Physiology Unit at The Royal London Hospital. They desperately need help to expand the research and be able to pay for Lucy, the nurse, who provides medical advice and support for these children and their families.
Just £1.00 will really help, £5.00 will make a huge difference – more will be fantastic! It is so easy to donate.
Just text ABCD20 £ and the amount (e.g. ABCD20 £5) to 70070
Let’s make 2015 a special year for these families affected by pseudo-obstruction. For more information about PORT go to http://www.port-charity.org.uk or visit my blog http://www.lucy-watts.co.uk/2014/11/chronic-intestinal-pseudo-obstruction.html
Thank you from everyone involved in PORT. May you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy year ahead.
